'A contemplated suicide last year,' Tahidi High actor Omosh reveals he is currently broke

Veteran Tahidi High actor Joseph Kinuthia aka Omosh has recounted his long struggle with alcohol addiction, admitting that a close friend introduced him to the 'demonic' thing.

Speaking to Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, Omosh said he did do not how he ended up being an addict.

You start small and by the time you know, you have already become an addict. I was introduced to using alcohol by a close friend. We used to hang out together kidogo kidogo nilikua addict.

It is demonic and when you are using it, you only know about club and your bottle.

Asked on how it affected his personal life, Omosh said he was not able to properly take care of his family.

'Mara watoi wamefukuzwa chuo. Mara bibi anaingiza madharau yaani it was not a good life.

I could get off stage during a show, or even find an excuse to leave home so that I can take a drink.

During the interview, Omosh revealed he is currently not in a stable situation as he used to get gigs from schools before coronavirus hit the country.

I even contemplated committing suicide last year but after a few friends came through and talked to me. I am surviving through friends. My wives are both hustling to make ends meet.

My landlord had even threatened to chase me away.
