In August 2015, a man named Francis Wanjau Alehandro hit the headlines for conning an unsuspecting family that was undergoing dire hardship. The family of baby Fidelis was raising funds to aid her surgery in Canada. Francis, with his cold heart, disappeared with the money.

On the day the baby was to travel and start her treatment journey, something went wrong. Francis was nowhere to be seen.

That's when President Uhuru Kenyatta came to the rescue and donated Ksh. 500,000 to help the family. The conman was later arrested by police officers following a tip-off.

We can happily report that the baby is now doing well. Ndungu Nyoro, the good Samaritan who helped nab the thief took to Facebook earlier today to share a photo of the baby post-operation and she looks much better. Here's the post:
