This stand-up comic, with an afro and beard, would put Prof Anyang' Nyong'o (and Rick Ross) to shame at a contest. The guy who walks around (mostly in his shows) carrying a pile of books heavier than a kilo of mercury, that he most probably never reads. His pair of spectacles are bigger than his face. I hope this description is a total sell out to who I might be referring to. But do you even know his real name?

Many know him as Professor Hamo from the popular TV comedy program, Churchill Show. His real name is Herman Kago Gakobo from Nakuru. He has quickly become a sensation with his stand-up type of comedy, but that could be all you ever knew about him.

Do you know who inspired Hamo to get into comedy? The comedy professor tells us that Ken Njiru, the Executive Director of Uungwana Resource Institute was the man behind his decision to thrust himself into the comedy industry.

"I once went to a certain place where Ken Njiru was giving a talk about ushenzi na uungwana. Listening to him keenly, I realized a very different kind of comedy in him. He actually made me to change from looking at comedy and seeing it as just something to make people laugh. He inspired me to try the type of comedy that would not only entertain but educate as well."
