More and more people are investing in the food industry, most especially their traditional cuisines and they are making a kill while at it.

Below are some of the coastal women raking big from such investments.

Mwanaisha Chidzuga

The former K24 TV host revealed she owns a chain of three restaurants and was in the process of opening up a fourth one.

The hotels are called Aryanna’s Swahili Cuisine. You guessed right she focuses on coastal dishes.

Mwanahamisi Hamadi

She runs Mapishi and cooking recipes. A You Tube channel that gives you an idea on how to cook all the coastal dishes you have been wanting to try.

Nyota Ndogo

Nyota had talked about her fear before opening her hotel, but she decided to do it anyway and she is laughing all the way to the bank.

'I WAS VERY AFRAID WHEN OPENING THIS HOTEL, I AM VERY SURE YOU SAW THAT YOURSELVES.

BUT FROM THE FIRST DAY WE OPENED GOD GAVE US CUSTOMERS AND ALL THE FOOD WE HAD COOKED GOT FINISHED.

I WAS SO EXCITED ESPECIALLY AFTER SEEING THAT THE ADVERTS WE HAD CREATED HAD TRAVELED SO FAR. NOWADAYS, WE EVEN SUPPLY FOOD ON ORDER.'

Miss Mandi

Mandi Sarro is also among Kenyan celebrities who have found a niche in the food industry. She describes herself as a food stylist.

And although she is not from the coastal region she is crazyyyy about food.
