Sensational national team setter Jane Wacu and middle blocker Brackcidise Agala (former national team captain) survived an accident scare on Wednesday morning along Langata Road.

The Kenya Prisons women's team duo were heading to their regular morning training session at the Langata West grounds when a garbage truck rammed into the car ripping off the left side of the expensive Mercedes Benz which Wacu acquired recently.

The two were set to join the other players as they prepare for this Friday's 7th leg of Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) national league at the Moi Voi Stadium in Taita Taveta County. Wacu took to social media to share the sad news and she wrote;

"Got an accident along Lang'ata road with our captain. .Thank God am alive",

accompanied by a pic of the damaged car. Agala also posted on the same "We thank God for our lives". When reached for comment, Wacu said she was

"happy and glad for the two have survived the accident."

Wacu who was driving the car said, "It was clear to go and I made the turn but the garbage driver seemed to be in a hurry and he rammed into us. But I am thankful we are all safe and sound". Agala also commented on the early morning incident and said " We are all fine but it was scary."

The two alongside team-mates Evelyne Makuto and Kenya Pipeline Women's right attacker Esther Wangeci contracts with French side, Charmaleries elapsed last April and they have to shift focus to the local league trophy.
