"Women are leaders everywhere you look, from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and heads her household. Our country was built by strong women, and many more will continue to break down walls and defy stereotypes," thanks to Nancy Pelosi. In Kenya, we have many top female personalities such as first lady Margaret Kenyatta, Radio personality Carol Radull, who is always on the run to fight cancer, Martha Karua and even the late Wangari Maathai who have come out to prove that indeed women are the strongest beings.

City multi-millionaire and former Candy and Candy boss Joe Kariuki in conjunction with African Women and Beyond (AWAB) are about to bring smiles to women across the continent. Joe Kariuki, who is an aspiring member of parliament for Lang'ata Constituency, revealed to Mpasho that they are gathering 10,000 women who are engaged in businesses across Africa and beyond so as to be part of a much-anticipated event slated for next month in Naivasha.

Joe Kariuki has been of positive impacts on the lives of many, and he hopes to carry on with the same spirit even after the elections. AWAB brings transformational growth by providing a collaborative platform of knowledge and awareness: connecting passionate, creative, inspired, and empowered African women and beyond.
