Controversial pastor Apostle James Ng'ang'a's followers must be somewhere crying and praying that God helps them defeat the "devil", which in this case is City Hall officers. Yesterday the Neno Evangelism Centre Church on Haile Selassie Avenue was shut down over Sh507,404 debt during the city council operation crackdown on businesses in the CBD over unpaid land rates.

Pastor James Ng'ang'a's church was raided over lunchtime service, and his followers were barred from entering the premises until the debt is cleared. The county officials also ordered everyone, including car park attendants, to vacate. The rogue pastor was not around to defend himself, and up to now, we still aren't sure if he finally settled the debt or not.
