Television news anchors are expected to be the best when it comes to dressing. Their craft cannot be compared to that of their counterparts on radio. They should be the best fashion-conscious people around.

Unlike radio guys, whose voices are the major assets they possess, TV presenters have to be sharply clad. Their craft combines their voices, looks and appearance to make the complete package for the viewer.

A radio presenter can hit the studio in only their underwear, and no one in their audience will notice- unless he/she takes it to Snapchat! TV is meant for the eyes more than the ears. So whatever the image you show on screen, it will definitely be judged by sections of your viewers. This happened to one news anchor on one of the most popular local television stations.

Citizen TV's Willis Raburu was a subject of attention early this year, after rumours started to circulate that his much publicized engagement to fellow journalist Sally Mbilu was no more.

Reports from varied sources have already concluded that the couple no longer see eye-to eye. Oh my! Even after forking a whopping  Sh100,000 for a damn engagement ring! Mungu wa wanaume hatatuwacha kamwe!

Now Raburu is on the spot again, thanks to his dress code while on live TV. This time round, his fashion code didn't augur well with a popular Nairobi-based entertainment and fashion journalist, Crystal Okusa. She had absolutely no chills or any kind of mercy the moment she chose to thrust Raburu right into another social whirlwind.

This is what she posted oh her Facebook page...

she wrote, "The suit and shoes are being worn by a news anchor!! I can't!! Nooo!!"

Crystal then added this screenshot which came in as the straw that broke the camel's back.
