Different names have different meanings to different people. Some buildings have names that are not originally theirs.

For example, did you know that Orange Democratic Movement's headquarters in Nairobi popularly known as Orange House was built in 1966 as a Hindu crematorium? It was.

The long chimney was meant to conduct fumes off the building during cremation ceremonies. The Hindu community used to call it "maut kee imaarat" (Death building) before moving out in the 1980's.

Orange House is located along the Menelik Road in Kilimani area, Nairobi.

ODM is the political outfit Kenya's opposition leader Raila Odinga ran with for Presidency in the contested 2013 general elections, which he lost to the incumbent President Uhuru kenyatta. It's still the same vehicle he (Raila) will be using to give Presidency another stab in the upcoming general elections in 2017.

He will once more be facing President Uhuru head-to-head.

Now you know!! Bye!
