A woman claims she nearly died after her breast exploded following two botched surgeries abroad.

Dennie Lees, 24, paid £2,375 to have her chest increased from 34A to 34F at a clinic in Belgium.

A week later, she was horrified when her breasts began 'gushing' fluid and burst.

After being rushed to hospital, doctors said she had blood poisoning and immediately removed the implants.

She complained to the Belgian clinic, who performed another implant operation for free - but once back in the UK, she felt a 'ripple' sensation in her chest.

In hospital, doctors removed an implant - which had become highly infected - and she was left with a wonky chest.

Now, she wants to share her story to warn others of the dangers of cheap cosmetic surgery.

Miss Lees, who lives with her boyfriend Ed, 26, in Birmingham, said: 'It was about nine days after the surgery and I felt a ripple when I was walking.

'At first I brushed it off but I woke up the next day with the worst fever I had ever had.

'I took my sports bra off and it just gushed out, it was like a tap, it was disgusting.

'I was so scared. My mum and boyfriend took me to hospital with fluid still pouring out of my breasts.

She was rushed to Sandwell Hospital in West Bromwich, West Midlands, where doctors told her she had blood poisoning.

Surgeons then operated on her the next day to remove the 800CC breast implants.

She said: 'In A&E I had about five or six doctors around my bed hooking me up to all kinds of monitors and drips.

'It turned out I had blood poisoning and the nurse told me if I hadn't have come in when I did I would have died during the night.

The first thing the next morning I was back in theatre having my breast implants removed.

'I woke up with drains still removing all of the leftover fluid. I was in hospital for about five days but I think I cried the whole time I was there.'

She complained to the clinic, run by Belgium Surgery Services, who offered to perform a second implant operation for free.

She agreed and returned to the clinic last week when she had another operation to have new breast implants fitted again.

But when she returned to the UK last Friday she felt the familiar 'ripple' sensation in her left breast and drove herself to hospital.

She continued: 'When I went over to Belgium it was a posh clinic.

'The rooms were lovely and everyone was really friendly and they couldn't do enough for you.

'I decided to go back a second time because after I had to have them removed I was left with horrible lumps and bumps and abnormal-shaped breasts.

'I wouldn't say to people not to have surgery but just to be very careful where they go because as much as it's cheaper to go abroad, it's not always best.

'Even though infections can happen in this country as well I just think it's safer being closer to home.'

She addded she wished she'd had the operation in the UK, and regrets going back to the Belgian clinic a second time.

But despite her ordeal Miss Lees is still determined to go under the knife again to have her left breast enlarged to match her right one.

She is also considering taking legal action against the Belgian clinic.

She said: 'I haven't had a sorry. I do want to sue them but I am still in hospital so I want.'
