In the past, some university courses were majorly assumed to be the preserve of men, while women were relegated to simpler courses.

Courses like law, medicine and engineering were considered to hard for women, however, that ceiling was crashed.

Below is a list of female Kenyan celebs and politician who are lawyers.

Terry Muikamba

Classic 105 radio presenter Terry Mumbai alias Miss Sunshine is a certified lawyer.

Speaking about it in the past. Terry said,

'Getting through law school was tough but my heart was always in media. I knew that school was important and I’d promised myself that I’d complete my studies.

As soon as I was done I knew I had to follow what I loved so I worked towards being here!'

She has in the past worked with stations such as Hot 96 hosting alongside Willis Raburu.

Corazon Kwamboka

Corazon who is  Kenyan socialite cum businesswoman is an advocate having graduated from the Kenya School of Law.

She said she was thrust into the socialite lifestyle by chance.

‘I WAS IN THE KENYA SCHOOL OF LAW WHEN I DECIDED TO GO FOR A SHOOT. 

I PUT THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THAT IS HOW I BECAME A SOCIALITE.

I HAVE NO REGRETS AS MUCH AS I WAS A BRILLIANT STUDENT, I ALSO WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED A 9:00 TO 5:00 JOB IT WORKED OUT FOR GOOD.’

Millie Odhiambo

The outspoken female politician studied law at the University of Nairobi.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree.

Millie began her career in the attorney general's office practising civil litigation before moving on to human rights law, with an emphasis on women and children.
