We gon party like it's your birthday!

And that is what Betty Kyallo's pals did last night. They threw her a surprise birthday party to mark her 28th birthday.

The venue was Kiza, the party was lit, hatdamn it, it even had a flower wall. That is how you know it was serious bizniz.

"When you innocently walk into Kiza not knowing your friends and family had other plans for you ????#TomorrowAfrica #HappyBirthdayBetty," was a message on Kiza's instagram page revealing that The KTN news anchor had no idea the party was going to be this big.

Before the birthday party, her brother posted the most beautiful message ever.

"Happy Birthday my bestie, my sticky side kick, and amazing baby sister @bettymuteikyallo ...aka Babji

I have so many fond memories since we were kids, like the time you pushed a peanut up your nose and I got the whooping, accused I did that ???? Cheers to a great life following each other side by side... Seeing you glowing in success right now makes me the proudest big brother. I remember the many walks to school together, Kahawa West, Rongai et al. In our dusty, beat school shoes we dared to dream of a greater, better life over the rainbow. I remember how your dreams kept on changing ... Teacher, Nun, Singer (even started calling yourself Yolanda ????) ... You always had a strong resolve that you were a star, waiting for your 'big break'. And look at you now, a self made ambitious go getter, inspiring the next generation of small Babjis who see enigmatic potential in themselves. The library of memories is endless!

I celebrate you dear sister of mine. Keep dreaming, keep winning! Happy 28th Birthday!"

Here are photos of a very surprised Betty when she walked into Kiza thinking she was going for a quiet dinner.

Here are some of the guests who attended.

Enjoy the various activities that took place at the party including the cake cutting ceremony. Betty always does everything in style.

The cake was inscribed with the lyrics to one of Runtown's popular single.

It read, "we dey mad over you girl."
