From Carol Radull To Sauti Sol, See What They Had To Say About The Women's National Volleyball Team

Yesterday evening history repeated itself at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.The Kenya Women's volleyball national team Malkia defended their Africa Nations Volleyball championship with a 3-0 set win over Algeria in a repeat of their group stages match that ended 3-0 win in favor of Kenya.

Malkia Queens who never lost a single set in the whole tournament survived a scare in the second set after the northern Africans took the lead twice before rallying from behind to win. The 9th continental title win saw Kenya qualify for the World Cup set for Japan in September alongside Algeria. Cameroon beat Senegal 3-2, 25-19, 23-25, 14-25, 25-13 and 17-15 to claim third place.

Everly Makuto was voted the MVP while Jane Wacu was voted the tournament’s best setter and Elizabeth Wanyama was the best Libero. Many Kenyans among them top sports personalities took to social media to congratulate Malkia Str and below are some of the messages
