Kenyans received with shock the passing of UoN professor Ken Ouko after he succumbed to Covid-19, at the Aga Khan hospital where he was hospitalized.
He was deeply loved by many for his social nature and his sense of humour.
Among those who had interacted with Ouko in the past is media personality Carol Radull.
Taking to her social media platform to mourn the great man, she penned
‘Today has been a strange day. Lot’s of excitement over my show today and of course the football.
But as I take a pause I want to remember this special man; a friend; and any News Editor in this town will tell you; the go-to guy when you needed politics broken down.
I probably interviewed Ken at least once a month over the 8 year period when I was the breakfast news presenter on Kiss 100. We were friends.
We hung out sometimes as Ken was one of the most interesting people I had ever met. And he had class. Sadly we had not spoken in years because as humans; we always think we have time.’
‘I want to pay tribute to Dr Ken Ouko. His students loved him; the media could rely on him and oh what a gentleman he was.
Guys #covid19 is real. Take care of yourselves. And check up on dear friends who you may not have seen in a while. Today I mourn an amazing human. Rest in peace my friend. Rest in peace Ken. 💔’
