Media personality Carol Radull for the first time revealed intimate details about her family and losing her teenage brother to cancer.

In an interview with Betty Kyallo, she talked about how cancer robbed her family, not once but twice.

'Here my dad was out of a job but had started businesses and he was dealing with the first case of cancer in the family. My brother had Hodgkin’s disease.

It is a form of Leukemia. It was hard. We were teens, he was fourteen and I was fifteen.'

As a result, her family tried to put together all the resources they could to help give their brother a fighting chance.

Unfortunately he passed away living the family heartbroken.

“By the time you are thinking about how to deal with the disease, it is already over. You are like, nobody dies in my family.

I was in Form Four when he died so it messed up my education. It was hard…”

The death hit her family hard with her mother taking the brunt of it having been with her late son all through until the very last moments.

In May 2013, Radull's dad succumbed to prostate cancer.

That was not the only time the family had experienced loss as they had in the late eighties lost a son to a stabbing incident.

She has since moved on but like they say, the death of a loved one is never forgotten.
