When Camp Mulla were on the scene, there were the kings and queen of the movement. They came from obscurity and with everyone side-eyeing them because they came from leafy-link suburbs and made a huge mark on the Kenyan entertainment scene.

But after a while of ruling African airwaves, these guys decided to call it a day and go their separate ways. Yeah, a decision that didn't quite sit well with their fanbase but at the end of the day we all owe it to ourselves to be selfish enough to do what's in our best interest inspite of the hoopty.

And that is precisely what they did. They got onto their own waves and it seems to be working for them -depending on who does the choosing. So now we can get into what each of them is upto:

Shappaman

This guy has been making music on the low and working with Barack Jacuzzi and trust that though the mainstream hasn't been paying too much attention to his work, he's still make music that resonates with his audience. Also, now that Kus Ma is around, perhaps they will link up and make some joint projects come to fruition.

Miss Karun

She is on her own path. Currently in school in America, she's still making music and art on the side and while it is "trippy" and bohemian, she has found a niche audience for her art and even her instagram page is swelling in numbers (of followers).

Kus Ma

This homie was in school abroad and was dating one of the artists he helped put on the scene called Tiri but from all indications, they have since broken up and she has moved on to a different place with her heart and emotions. Meh!

Hopefully we will be seeing some new projects from him coming out given he's now jamming with Shappaman.

Taio Trippper

This homie is now a Hare Krishna believer. Still on that bohemian wave with Karun and he is even in a group called Cosmic Homies. For fans of his old material, this might seem off-putting but as I pointed out he is doing what works for him. He is also a DJ and radio personality on WG Radio (What's Good).
