Former Tahidi High actress, Phil Karanja has finally spoken up on his relationship with his girlfriend's son.

Catherine Kamau (Celina), former Mother-In-Law actress is currently engaged to Phil who doubles as a director.

Cate, has a son whom phil says now calls him 'Dad' a tittle he had earned over time.

He told The Standard:

"He calls me Dad. But it was not automatic. I had to earn the title. For about three years, he used to call me by my first name, then he changed and started calling me dad." 

He went on to highlight that the child's biological father is not active in his life and he (Phil) never had an issue with adopting a child.

The two had a ruracio (traditional wedding) few weeks ago which was followed by Phil going down on his knee to propose to her.

Celina emotionally wrote:

“It’s not been an easy road, we will tell you our story someday, last year was our worst, but we thank God, I hope my journey will encourage many single mums out there to never give up hope. ..there are good men out there willing to love and respect you. MUNGU PEKEe.”
