Prominent city lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo has arrived at Kiamugumo Primary School ahead of his traditional ceremony with Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.

Waiganjo, who is dressed in a brown shirt and a black pair of trousers was accompanied by a group of women who were singing and dancing Kikuyu traditional songs.

They were dressed in traditional Kikuyu attires.

Anne Mumbi Waiguru is expected to arrive at the venue anytime from now.

Dennis Itumbi, Raila Odinga, Terry Mungai are some of the guests who have already arrived at the venue.

Waiguru's mother spoke to media and said they've accepted Waiganjo to marry her daughter.

I am Mary Njeri Nyamu and I am Anne Mumbi's mother. We have come here because it is Mumbi's Ngurario ceremony by Kamotho Waiganjo so that she becomes his wife. We have accepted.

Especially, me as Mumbi's mother I have embraced Waiganjo. Anne Mumbi Nyamu is my 3rd born. And Nyamu is her late father. I am very happy. God gave me one son and now I have another one called Kamotho Waiganjo. So I am very happy. We have accepted him with both hands as the entire family. We can never do anything bad to him.
