The Kenyan gospel arena is nothing to write home about. Most of these new artistes have turned the industry into a money making business and it doesn't help that it is bedeviled with scandal after scandal after scandal.

From the controversial stories about Alex Apoko aka Ringtone's indiscretions to the juvenile fights between award-winning singers Willy Paul, Bahati and Ljay Maasai the gospel industry is nothing to smile about.

Who will save our generation?

Well, apart from all the controversies, our gospel industry or rather the Kenyan music industry is slowly losing its meaning. Talk of monotony! Our artistes lack creativity. Most of the songs sound the same and you can easily predict their next 'hit' song. Once an artiste sings a song and it hits, he will repeat the same in almost all of his songs and if they don't sell, they will rant over social media claiming that Kenyans don't support their own talent.

Dear sweethearts, if you cannot produce quality music, please don't blame us.

Kamili! DJ MO Defends His Wife Size 8 After She Was Trolled By Kenyans Over Her New Song ‘Tiga Wana’

Well, gospel superstar Willy Paul is currently the talk of the town after releasing his new song I Do featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Alaine.

The wedding stunt has seen many lash out at Kenyan singers for not being creative and copying from each other. It all started with Jaguar, Akothee, Bahati and now Willy Paul. Are our local musicians that dumb that they cannot do something unique and different?

Willy Paul seems to have run out of ideas. A few months ago, he released another track Tiga Wana featuring Size 8 which was criticized by the public.

Well, Ruiru parliamentary seat aspirant Isaac Mwaura's wife is among those who feel Willy Paul's latest stunt has become too much and she has called out Kenyan artistes to stop copy pasting and be creative.

Here is her advice to local artistes;

"Lakini this thing by Musicians for lying about having A wedding then unleashing a video has been over done ...

Jaguar did It and it was great ! After a few years Akothee did it very well lakini after, mtafute kitu ingine sasa ...... hii lack of creativity is too much ... pooooh !!! ...."

The song so far has more than 300k views on Youtube - it is less than a week old - although many are not happy with the Tam Tam hit maker. The comments on the song tell a lot.
