Sexy Kenyan songstress Amani has been in the music industry for more than a decade. She's one of the greatest artistes this country has ever produced. There's no doubt. In fact, Amani (real names Cecilia Wairimu) won the coveted Best Female gong at the 2009 edition of the continental MTV Africa Music Awards, the only MAMA win by a Kenyan female artiste in history.

However, the 35-year-old singer, who is an alumni of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School and USIU (where she studied International Business Administration), has been on the list of Kenya's most eligible bachelorettes for quite some time now. Although she's been spotted several times hanging around a certain Nigerian dude, she is yet to formerly settle down; that is getting married and having kids. Maybe it's not in her plans. That we do not know yet!

This weekend, as I did my roundi mwenda in Westlands, I happened to spot Amani coming out of fellow singer Wahu's beauty salon, Afro Siri, at Krishna Centre. I am a man but what I saw raised my doubts. Amani was spotting a seemingly bulging tummy and to me it looked like a baby bump!!!

I had to make sure that I wasn't just imagining things. So, I called her some moments later just to hear it from the horses mouth. This is what she said about her being pregnant or not...

"Ooh! I am shocked to hear this from a man. You must be very talented if you can tell if a woman is pregnant or not by just looking at them. Anyway, I am not pregnant," amani said.
