Domestic violence cases seem to be on the rise and women are the most abused. Barely six months after a Kenyan lady was brutally beaten by her husband, yet another woman by the name Fatuma Ibrahim has been abused by her better half from Wajir County.

Fatuma, a 32-year-old mother of four had a family dispute with her husband and out of rage, Mohamed Deeq stabbed her on the face. Mohammed's brother reported the matter to the police who took action immediately by sending an ambulance to take her to Wajir General Hospital where doctors were unable to remove the knife because it had been lodged too deep into the cheek bone, putting her life in danger.

Fatuma is now scheduled to be airlifted to Nairobi for surgery at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Meanwhile, Mohamed Deeq is in police custody and will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
