Safaricom has issued an official statement in relation to the much anticipated Obama Visit. There will be a tight security protocol to ensure that no hitch is experienced when the most powerful man in the world land in Kenya.

“We recognize the fact that as the most protected individual in the world, there will be some security measures undertaken by his (Obama) team which could include the temporary disruption of mobile signals close to where the President is at any given time,” the statement on the official site read.

“Accordingly, we wish to assure all our customers that there shall be minimal disruption to the network during the US President Obama’s visit later this week.” the statement adds.

Consequently, this will take place withing an unspecified radius close to the POTUS entourage at any given moment. The roads that will experience temporary closure will sure experience this problem. Areas around Mombasa road, Uhuru Highway, Limuru road, Thika road, Waiyaki way and State House should expect this.
