Students who spoke to Nation said they are encountering challenges as schools are turning them away, unwilling to admit new students who will sit for exams this year. A form four student said:
“We have been looking for schools that can integrate us but no one wants a new Form Four student in their school."
Letters addressed to the parents indicated that the students had cleared with the school and had been transferred at their own will. He stated:
“The boys have put the rest of the students at risk.We want to work hard to bring more girls to the school and make it a girls’ only school."
According to one of the students, however, there has only been one case of unrest which occurred following a protest over a meal that that was not properly prepared. Mr. Gichimo said the management had made arrangements to have the students integrated into other school and that parents who had already deposited their money will be refunded.
This is a sad mess created by a principal who does not care about the boy child.
