Sasa watakula mpaka mfupa.

Team Mafisi have a registered outfit that is recognised by the government of Kenya.

Jaymo Ule Msee who is the brains behind the foundation clarified that he is trying to change the misconception of what a fisi is.

"We are trying to redefine what a fisi is. A fisi is every young person looking for an opportunity to survive," Jaymo Ule Msee said.

He added that the foundation will provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills as well as expose them to a wide audience. The foundation will also carry out a series of activities around mentoring the youth in entrepreneurship, safe sex etc.

The Mafisi Sacco Foundation was today morning brought to the attention of the CEO of NGOs Board, Fazul Mahamed.

The leader of Team Mafisi wrote, "MAFISI FOUNDATION: Today, On behalf of Mafisi membership I paid a courtesy call to the CEO of NGOs Board, Mr. Fazul Mahamed in his office. We discussed about the registration and the official launch of Team Mafisi Foundation as a way of creating a platform of members positive engagement, growing our membership and ultimately engage in socioeconomic empowerment programs. Mr. Fazul was very helpful and promised to support us register it as a foundation for free and support us financially in undertaking youth, women, HIV/AIDS,cohesion, and talent search programs throughout the Country. Many thanks to Comrade Fazul for the kind gesture and support."

Fazul added, "Our discussion focused on the registration and the official launch of Team Mafisi Foundation as a way of creating a platform for members to positively engage, grow their membership and ultimately engage in socioeconomic empowerment programs.I promised to register the group as a foundation and link them with donors to support their advocacy work on empowerment projects targeting the youth, women, HIV/AIDS,cohesion, and talent search programs throughout the Country."

The boy child was happy. For once there is someone advocating for their well being. Here are some reactions about the registration.

Gitau Caroline: This is hilarious but names might not mean anything... however... why do politicians start Foundations when in power instead of before.... we cling so much to the facade of a legacy founded on the lack in society....

Nyoro Kanini KaWangui: I would have loved Boy Child Foundation in place of Team Mafisi Foundation no serious donor would want to associate after learning the activities of team Mafisi. Anyway I am just a village boy hii ni maneno ya watu wa Nairobi.

Ngumu Derrick: I think the Rights and Freedom of Mafisi will be protected now. I also suggest a day to be set as Mafisi day. To honor and award Mafisi, also to Celebrate the fallen Mafisi.

Fayih Mawia: Kindly advise for a prudent name...we need to shake off these labels about boy child because they are hurting our boys.

Bidan Bidan: This is the first best way to deal with our threat sponsors. Sponsor now wait for our legal team to deal with you ruthlessly.

Peter Kamau Maru: can wait to see what started as a joke making real and meaningful impact in the society...bravo #TeamMafisi!

Joel Wanjiku: Tunafaa tupewe membership card mr chairman

Kibara Tony Gachoki: Best move to deal with sponsors..uwanja ulainishwe, mashimo yazibwe na wang'oe viziki

Solo Solo: Hahaha, Jaymo una ujinga.I thought the group is just for fun

Samuel Sammy: I am assuming this is just the usual joke.
