A video showing Boniface Mwangi lying lifeless in a morgue has sent chills down the spines of Kenyans.

Coming at a time when the activist-cum-photojournalist is embroiled in a fierce court battle with powerful opponents, the video has left his followers fearing for the worst.

The video titled "One Day I Will Die" was uploaded by Boniface Mwangi on YouTube in 2015 on the day he turned 32, but it has just resurfaced on social media.

In the video, Boniface acts dead and he is seen lying lifeless on a slab only with his boxers on. A man acting as a morgue attendant is seen preparing the body as he narrates that he is ready to die for the common good of Kenyans.

"One day I will die, I don't know when and how but I will surely die. I will be lying on that cold slab. Breathless, lifeless. Finally silent. I won't be buried with my loving wife, or my kids. The things that I loved; my bike, my camera, my books will not be buried with me. The only thing that will be left is my legacy," he narrates.

At some point, his wife comes into the mortuary and is seen weeping over her husband's dead body before proceeding to the graveside to "burry" him.

The video has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans with quite a good number describing it as inspiring and moving.
