Boni Khalwale is a man who has the gift of wit when engaged. You don’t get as far as he has without having some serious chops. And even though he is no longer an elected politician, he still believes his views warrant some consideration.
He does so by appearing on TV, giving out interviews and speaking about issues that are affecting the country. A Twitter user called Ike Ojuok recently learnt how much Khalwale values his opinion when the former senator burned him on Twitter.
Ike asked the former Kakamega senator to keep off matters regarding the current sugar debate as his home area, Emalinya, did not have any sugar farms.
Boni, the bullfighter did not take the comment lying down as he posted a photo of his lash green land and majestic bungalow built in the rural area with the caption:
The front of the enviable home stands on pillars and the surrounding had signs of a possible ongoing construction. The bull fighter’s white Toyota Hilux was also parked right outside and of course, the former senator had to captured the scenery.
Bu funny thing is that some of Boni’s followers were not pleased with his response, with some questioning the maturity of the politician. Some of the responses are below:
This back and forth reminds me of a conversation between Sabina Chege and a Twitter troll back in April.
The Murang’a Women’s Representative exchanged some harsh words with the Twitter user. The politician, via Twitter, had posted a picture of her and other officials planting trees in the county on April 4, Sabina had written:
MURANG’A GOES GREEN. MASHINANI MANENO’S.
A twitter user, identified as Simon Maina, commented on the photo in Kikuyu asking if Chacha was among those in the picture.
“KAU NI CHACHA KEHAU KANA NI MAITHO NDIRAIRA? (IS THAT CHACHA I SEE IN THAT PHOTO OR ARE MY EYES DECEIVING ME?)
The MP replied in Kikuyu saying:
(URIA NYUKWA) ASK YOUR MOTHER.
