When he is not riding a boda boda on the wrong side of the road, you will catch Nairobi senator Mike Sonko refusing to shake hands with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho. When he is not refusing to exchange handshakes with Joho, Sonko is probably somewhere reading a controversial article about himself on a blog, a newspaper or on some other gutter press, and most certainly, contemplating on his next course of action.

Now, last Friday, Sonko was yet a talking point, after The Nairobian, a weekly local publication by the Standard Group, published a story that alleged that he had a secret family, tucked away somewhere in this country.

The story claimed that sources close to the flamboyant senator, and his alleged second wife, had indeed brought forth a little tot. A photo of the same was published for all and sundry to witness. Where did that all leave Sonko? He was left fuming with anger, if what he wrote on his Facebook page is anything to go by.

Sonko, who is yet to find a perfect recipient to benefit from a donation of his mesmerizing bling-bling, is in fact, contemplating going after the paper's a**es, for allegedly telling what he terms as a blatant lie.

But isn't he wealthy enough to start running after some small money in a court proceeding that will probably take ages to get a verdict? Here is what he said...

"Hizi gutter press ziko na maneno. Sijui niwasue juu hii ni doo mingi sana alafu nipeleke doo kwa childrens home. Ati Sonko's secret family. So what.." -sonko.

Maybe in an attempt to prove that the child in question wasn't his', Sonko posted a collage of photos of him at different orphanages. Is he trying to hoodwink us into ignoring the claims made in the story and believe his side of the narrative?
