Ugandan dancehall star Edrisa Musuuza, better known as Eddy Kenzo, is arguably one of the biggest artistes in East Africa at the moment. The "Sitya Loss" hitmaker who has also been nominated for this year's BET Awards has acknowledged the new kids on the block.

Eddy Kenzo is the only East Africa artiste nominated for the viewer's choice "Best New International Artiste" which he's battling against some of the biggest new artistes from Africa.

Kenya's Sauti Sol who are currently topping the charts with their new song "Nerea" featuring Amos and Josh was also nominated for the "Best International Act -Africa" for the awards that are set to take place this weekend.
