I have a colleague who upon seeing me working on this piece made the following statement:

Mwanaume ni wallet! sura wachia mr. kenya!

And by Jove he has hit the nail on the head! Do not get me wrong: What I am saying IS that Bonny Khalwale is not the kind of man whose face many a woman long to wake up to but he has a brilliant legal and even more so Machiavellian political mind. And the size of his wallet just nails the tri-factor!

He grew up -by his own admission- in abject poverty and his mother had to sell chang'aa just to make ends meet for her family but through sheer grit and intellect, he has alleviated his poverty.

And he has a beauty to cap the achievement. Perhaps trying to ensure that his children do not end up having to suffer due to lack of aesthetic appeal...

This is the beautiful woman he calls a wife -the lucky man!
