Endometriosis warrior Njambi Koikai feels like her journey to recovery is one that is meant to inspire people.

Njambi says people she has met in the recent past are in shock with others believing in God because of her.

I've met so many people in the last few days, who didn't know I was back in the country. People still look at me in disbelief, others in shock, others cry, others want me to crack jokes lol, but all these people pray with me. I've met people who tell me, they believe in God because of what He did for me.

She added;

I'm consistently reminded that my journey is not about me. I'm just a vessel.

A vessel. A testimony and a miracle of our time all for God's glory. I live for Him and I thank God for everything He's done for me.

Jeremiah 29:11 is my verse for you today. Keep the faith.

Njambi was in India where she underwent several surgeries. She has since then been advising women to go for check-ups to get an early diagnosis of endometriosis.

Njambi gave her experience sharing that when her menstrual period came, her gums and teeth would bleed.

‘Endometriosis is a full-body disease and should be treated with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Ever since I started menstruating, I’ve had countless problems with my teeth and gums. My teeth and gums would bleed heavily everytime I brushed them during my period. In my teenage years, I had part of my gum cut out and 4 teeth removed. I later wore braces for 5 years. During my treatment in the US, my teeth and gums were at it again. I saw an orthodontist surgeon who told me I had very high levels of oestrogen in my gums. They removed 4 other teeth and cut my gum again. He also found out that the oestrogen was damaging my teeth. I have 8 cavities due to this. So in the coming weeks I will be going to visit my dentists to fill these cavities and any other recommended procedure. Look out for these signs and seek medical attention. Do not ignore. Endometrio.sis is a full-body disease.’
