Gospel artiste Bahati sparked controversy over the weekend when he sat on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s official chair, while performing in Kasarani Stadium during the launch of Jubilee Party.
The singer was performing his hit song, Mama, which is an inspiring tribute to his late mother who passed away when he was young. Bahati pulled Uhuru Kenyatta from his seat so that he could serenade for Kenya’s First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta.
This move elicited mixed reaction with the crowd cheering him on for the brave act and remarkable performance, while some government officials were left in dismay since that was a breach of protocol as per the military rules.
