Joseph Irungu alias Jowie is back to doing gospel music.

Jowie was born in a religious family, attended Agape Church located in Pangani estate Nakuru county and was the founder of Agape Stormers choir.

His melodious voice brought many to Christ but along the way, he backslid.

Jowie went missing in church for years only to resurface in September 2018, after he was arrested in connection with the murder of Monica Kimani.

He spent a year and a half and jail and was released on cash bail.

Jowie has been keeping a low profile and yesterday, he released his first single gospel song Nishikilie.
Is he back to doing gospel music or this was about his tough life where he was in prison? Well, time will tell.
Kenyans have received Jowie's song warmly and below are the mixed comments.

Kifalme254 Bahati arudi tuu secular tumepata Nyashinski wa gospel.

Sharon Godfrey I pray that unlike many Kenyan gospel artistes, Jowie will not give in to pressures of fame and money which brings about pride and hence departing from the ways of the Lord.
