If you know a thing or two about the Kenyan club scene then you know that there are some clubs that are a mainstay of the scene. Do not get me wrong, in Kenya, and in Nairobi especially, clubs open for a season then close down. None has stood the test of time quite like Florida!

Opened in 55.. And I mean 1955, aye, even before the C-in-C was born, the club was jumping! I want you to figure out what that means. The club views partying as a heritage! Long before we had Uhuru, we had the party! Long before there was Uhuru -Kenyatta- we had the party!

Back then the scene was Mombasa. And just like today, it was happening.

Fast forward to 2014 Nairobi and what do we have? Well, Florida was shut down. And it was a sad day for many. But something like this was never going to be shut for too long and do you know why? Because Kenyans never ever turn down!

And just what can you expect the good folk at Florida to have in store for you? Well:

They are relaunching and are going to introduce Nairobi to state of the art partying! DJ Marcus Coppini will be on the wheels of steel all the way from Brazil!
