Months after his scandalous arrest after shooting DJ Evolve at B Club,  Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is still trying to redeem himself.

This he first did by declaring that he would give half his salary to help people affected by Covid-19.

This did not go well with some Kenyans as he is yet to settle the medical bills of DJ Evolve who is still in hospital.

The trolling did not discourage Babu Owino and he is back to donating food stuff to his constituents.

Taking to his social media he penned

'LADIES,GENTLEMEN,FRIENDS AND ENEMIES

1-We are living in special circumstances. And special circumstances, require special actions.

2-What we do in moments like these determines the future for our children.

3-I know what it means to sleep hungry. I know what it means to live from hand to mouth.

I know what it’s like to be uncertain of the future. I was born and raised in the slums of Nyalenda. I know what it’s like to suffer.

4-This is why I won’t let my people suffer as I watch. I have always been a man of action. As we wait for Parliament to re-open, I will take action!!!

5-I have distributed bales of unga to the doorstep of my constituents homes to make sure they do not go hungry during this time.

Together with the unga, you have found a 1 liter bottle of cooking oil and a packet of rice. This was done between Sunday and Wednesday in the following areas.'

Further adding

' 6-I have distributed hand sanitizer to the doorstep of my constituents homes to make sure that they can maintain proper hygiene to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.

This happened between Tuesday and Thursday.

6-I made available 10,000 liter water tanks so that Embakasi East constituents can get water for free for cooking and home hygiene during this time. It is FREE.

7-I have further distributed mattresses and bedding's to help people maintain social distancing in their homes. I know the reality is that many Kenyans sleep on the floor or share a bed as a family.

This is not ideal and people do not do this because they want to. I hope that by giving these families an extra mattress and bedding's that we can restore some dignity and help them live better quality lives.'
