The grandson of one of Kenya's powerful man, Retired Lieutenant-General John Koech, has given a moving tribute at his requiem mass.

He was one of former President Daniel arap Moi's confidant, he passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Speaking at his requiem mass at St Austins Parish in Nairobi on December 5, the grandson Mathew Langa'at said,

"Babu, I want to start by saying I miss you already, this is the hardest pill I have to swallow and I love you so much, but God loves you more.

May he rest in peace. His funeral mass will be held at Kericho Day School on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
