Many wondered whether the house could have been his? According to unconfirmed reports, AY is said to have acquired the mansion two months after Tanzanian High Court awarded him Kes 96 million in special damages in a case against telecommunications giant Tigo.
In an interview with Global Publishers, the rapper admitted that he owned the Calabasas mansion. And not only that he also admitted that he owns another mansion in Dar es Salaam. He said:
Ni kweli nimefanikiwa kupata nyumba Calabasas na ndipo yatakuwa makazi yangu, ninamiliki nyumba mbili ikiwemo hiyo ya Marekani na moja Tanzania,na pia ninamiliki magari manne.
