Established in 2013 New Year’s Eve edition which was the first ever Hakuna Matata Festival and was held at the Fisherman’s Camp in Naivasha, The Hakuna Matata Festival is a festival of music with a message of peace. The event has witnessed rapid growth over the past one year. It's been a long journey for the Hakuna Matata Festival but with time, its picking up.The event also manages to bring in major companies such as Red Bull, Heineken and Jack Daniels, I attended the Hakuna Matata Festival in Naivasha and this is what i concluded.

Security

With many cases of insecurity, hundreds of G4S officers were deployed at the event to ensure  that security was tight and no terrorism acts took place. At the entry points, security was also tight so as to ensure everyone was safe. The officers also ensured no ratchetness took place. No rape or theft cases were reported.

Location

Change is good. Most of the big events take place in the city but this time round, The Hakuna Matata Festival decided to shift the location. The event took place at Manera Farm in Naivasha opposite Delamere Kobil station in Naivasha. Many attended as it was a convenient place for all fans across the country. It's true that the right environment can spark ideas and foster creative thinking.

Well Organized

The well organized event managed to draw a very large crowd with  Kenya's best DJs; Dj Creme De La Creme, DJ Protégé among others rocking the decks. The event was very successful as it went down till 6:18 AM. With all the excitement and great memories made at the New Year's Festival, am sure Hakuna Matata Festival is the next Kenya's biggest event.
