Comedians, family, friends and fans were moved to tears during the late Emmanuel Makori’s requiem mass at NPC (Nairobi Pentecostal Church) Karen on Wednesday. He was also known as Ayeiya or AKA.
His fans can vividly remember how he used to walk on stage. Ayeiya would come in with his signature beats and say.
“Ayeiyaaaaa, Poa Poa”
He would immediately introduce his topic of the day.

Ayeiya would walk on stage with his black brief case and one memorable thing about him was that he never missed putting on his cap. During his work at the Churchill show, Ayeiya showed the many caps he has, though most people concentrated on his rib cracking jokes, he is one guy who had his signature style.
