Another man has been captured n CCTV assaulting a female guard at a residential area in Komarock, Nairobi.

The man in the footage has been arrested.

Police identified the man as 30-year-old Justus Kamoja who is set to appear in court today.

In the video that has gone viral, the man is seen opening the estate’s gate against the guard’s wishes.

She attempts to close the gate which seems to upset the man leading to him assaulting the woman. He later drove out of the compound.

It is the estate security team that released the video that has gone viral leading to the police action.

This comes after another man was captured by CCTV cameras viciously attacking a colleague at Eastmatt Supermarket. He was arrested and arraigned in court has been denied bail by a Kajiado court.

The County Gender Director Rachael Ngugi slammed the act terming it as despicable and an unacceptable ordeal.

“IT’S A BARBARIC AND PRIMITIVE ACT TO ATTACK AN INDIVIDUAL LIKE THAT FOR WHATEVER REASON. VIOLENCE ON WOMEN HAS BEEN ON THE RISE IN THE RECENT PAST AND IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE EXERCISE SELF-CONTROL AND RESTRAINT BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION WHICH MAY LEAD TO AN ARREST AND AT TIMES LOSS OF LIFE. I AM CALLING UPON ALL PEOPLE WHETHER WOMEN, MEN OR CHILDREN WHO MIGHT BE FACING GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE TO COME OUT AND REPORT SO THAT WE CAN PROTECT THEM BEFORE SEVERE DAMAGE OCCURS,” NGUGI ADVISED.
