Media personality Anne Ngugi has been to the pits before she could even see the palace doors. Anne said in a past interview that:

I was sacked when I was five months pregnant with twins. I never imagined losing a job like that. I always thought that I was in control, but it happened. I have moved on from that. It was a learning experience

She was jobless, with three babies to feed – two in her tummy and an older child – and no prospects for a job.

My life changed a lot. I used to earn a good salary and could afford a good life. I have had to make adjustments in my life, but we are fine

Years later, she has overcome that and is now a sought-after media personality working with BBC.

“I lost people I thought were my friends. I even called former colleagues to hook me up with jobs, but they ignored me. That was hard to believe. People change a lot, especially when you have nothing to give anymore.”

Accept the situation and things will be clearer. Trust in God and remember that the best cheerleader of a child is the mother.

To celebrate a new year, Anne penned a moving birthday message. She wrote:

Today is my Birthday! What can I say apart from thanking the Lord for bringing me this far, if God was man I wouldn’t be around this far, if God was man I would have been crushed alooong time but alas his Grace has been sufficient all through my sessions.

She continued, “As I enter another session mine is to thank the most almighty and praise him for all he has done… If any of my friends who read this post and feel discouraged, tired, letdown, useless, ugly, fat, thin, foolish, worthless, forgotten, used I have been there and God has been my pillar, the very help in times of need. May he come through for you too. He is never late he is always on time, Jesus my only hope of all glory.!!!”

Her close pals, colleagues and fans also sent in their birthday wishes. Read some of them…
