Legendary Joe Kadenge is hailed as Kenya's "finest" footballer ever.

The frail-looking former Harambee Stars, Abaluhya United (now AFC Leopards and defunct Maragoli United striker has delivered an emotional statement to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a viral video clip, the ailing iconic football legend has asked the president to find some time off his busy schedule and meet him before he is dead!!

“I would like to meet you before I die. It seems my body doesn’t like me anymore. There are people in Government that I would like to meet. First and foremost, President Uhuru Kenyatta. I would also like to meet the retired Presidents too. You remember the old men,” says Kadenge.

With an emotional tone, he goes ahead to add:

"I would like to say goodbye to them so that if God calls me today, I will have an opportunity to say goodbye to them."

Born more than eighty years ago, Kadenge remains a household name in Kenya’s rich footballing history, due to his exemplary exploits on the pitch.

His record for the fastest premier league goal in Kenya still remains unbroken!
