Gospel superstar Mercy Masika is one of the best gospel singers in the region.

Being one of the most talented, stylish and disciplined gospel celebrities in the local industry, Mercy Masika's songs are ruling the airwaves and who knows, she might be the biggest artiste in Africa in the next coming years.

Married to pastor David Muguro, the power couple is blessed with two kids; a boy and a girl.

The two lovebirds are never afraid of showing the world that they love God and most of the times, they always post Godly messages on their social media accounts and never miss to attend church.

Well, recently, Mercy surprised her fans after she revealed how she met her husband Mr Muguro.

They didn't meet at a disco, pool party or church but they met at a wedding where she was performing and her hubby was a videographer at the event.

"I had woken up feeling happy and arrived at the venue two hours early. He casually asked for my contacts after the event suggesting that he'd like me to sing at his wedding someday,'' she told SDE.

The Mwema's hitmaker went ahead to reveal how they started chatting and as time passed by, she fell in love with David.

"I had forgotten who he was but I loved the messages. I was almost convinced that the sender was a prophet! Every message was in tune with what I had probably been thinking about or planning to do,"  she added.

The two then planned and met one day at a hotel near the famous City Hall area in the CBD and after spending close to two hours together, they realised that they were meant for each other and started courting. Mercy revealed how their relationship had ups and downs and in 2008, they said 'Yes I do" to each other.

Mercy Masika and David Muguro lead as a good example and they don't thrive on controversy unlike most of the gospel artistes. And just like any other faithful wife, the sensation singer loves her husband so much.

"I love David because he is real –he is not dramatic and is straight forward," she concluded.
