The alleged Langata Road Primary School land grabbers, ''Airport View Housing Limited' has issued a press release to clear their name after being named as the "grabbers" yesterday by CS Charity Ngilu.

Our attention is drawn to the highly sensational and defamatory allegations and falsehoods that have continued to appear in the Media outlets alleging the “grabbing” of Langata Road Primary School playground by Airport View Housing Limited.

From the outset, we would like to state that we had no hand in the chaos which occurred on Monday, 19thJanuary, 2015 which unfortunately resulted in injury to pupils. As Kenyans of goodwill, we convey our heartfelt sympathies to the victims and their families.

Concerning the gravely prejudicial reports disseminated to the members of public both in the Mass and Social Media concerning acquisition of the property in dispute, we would wish to point out that:-

1. It is only fair and proper that the due process of law is observed and that the rights of all persons affected, as guaranteed by the Constitution, are upheld. This involves allowing all such persons to be heard before any conclusions are arrived at. The State institutions and the Media have blatantly disregarded these fundamental principles and have opted instead for populist stances and without establishing the facts.

2. We note that the National Land Commission intends to hold a public hearing over the matter. The company will make its representations in these forums.

3. Contrary to the reports made in the Media vilifying and portraying the company and its officials as “land grabbers”, which condemned us unheard in the court of public opinion, we uphold and respect the rule of law. In this regard, we intend to pursue the ongoing legal processes to their logical conclusions and are certain that the cause of truth and justice will prevail and that we will be vindicated in due course.

Accordingly, we request our fellow Kenyans for patience, calm and restraint to allow for an impartial and just conclusion of the legal processes.
