Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, says she met her baby daddy - Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip - on Facebook.

Speaking to Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, the mother of two who has since broken up with the senator said, it all started when the senator sent her a message and started calling her 'sister'.

“Tulipatana Facebook, akaanza kunitumia message saa hizo ananiita my sister sijui nini…

Problem yangu, I have always been scared of being single na nilikuwa na haraka ya kuingia kwa relationship at a time I did not heal from previous relationship."

She added;

"Huyu Mwanume alinipata kwa sababau nilikuwa na heartbreak hiyo time. Kwa sababu shida yangu kubwa sijui kukaa single.

Hii ndo shida yangu kubwa. I have been swimming in relationships, by the way sikuwa najua kukaa single.

Saumu said Anwar later turned out to be violent and she finally left the relationship.

'I am the father and mother to my children. Lakini kwa hayo yote I have to forgive myself for being a fool. We speak the truth and let the truth judge Us."

In an earlier interview, Saumu had said that they first met in Mombasa while she was on holiday and Senator Anwar was there for work

“We met in Mombasa when I was on holiday while he was attending an official event. And that’s how we became friends. He became my confidant and every time I had an issue, I would tell him."
