Akothee, a born again Christian has revealed that her heart was willing to join the gospel industry. The Sweet Love hitmaker in a lengthy post shared on social media revealed that there's a time she needed friends but they all deserted her. No one wanted to be associated with her.

'Eyes on the price, confidence vs self-esteem, still no make up 💋💋I love the woman I have become and going. With black (a photo she took back in the day) I really needed friends, but no one wanted to associate with me, but in white (photo on the right) I am even running away from most of them. when they start introduction, "do you remember me? I am so and so, then I remember how badly I needed their advice and help when my marriage hit the rocks and I was lost,' she wrote in part.

The former gospel artiste and church choir member revealed that she turned to secular music because the gospel industry was full of hypocrites.

Most of our church members turned their backs on me and even used my family's challenges as an example during sermons and that's how I left church and joined the world. But I still have tight contact with my God, He never left me alone. He walked with me even the paths that I thought would lead me to death. I go to church to reunite with God and not to show off big cars and new clothes. I actually go to churches where no one is driving unless it's visitors, I connect better with them.

Akothee went ahead to lash out at gospel ministers who show off,

'Some churches are so plastic that you even feel like it's a showroom where people come to show their latest cars. May God forgive all of you who stand at the door. You don't want to come in but also lock others outside. I do gospel music from deep down my heart and maybe soon, I will cross over. The calling is too heavy, my heart is willing but my body is weak,'she added.
