Reports indicate that Douglas Owila - the man who made headlines after splashing more than Sh1 Million on his son's first birthday - has been evicted from his apartment.

His seven-seater sofa set, two tables and some documents were confiscated after he failed to pay three months' rent amounting to Sh118,000.

Mr Owila had rented the apartment for his office use and he was supposed to pay Sh35,000 every month but hasn't fulfilled his end of the bargain since July.

Dan Aguko, the agent in charge of the apartments at Polyview Estate, said he received only Sh22,000 from Owila for the month of July and he promised to bring the balance.

However, he failed to do so and has been playing a cat-and-mouse game with the owners of the property. The house was repossessed after sensing that he won't pay the arrears.

Mr Aguko further said that the man who is commonly referred to as Daggy never picks calls and at times he receives and makes promises which he does not honor.

The house has already been rented out to another tenant as the owners of pursue Mr Owila since the documents and furniture they ceased can't be converted to cash.
