Taio Tripper or Thee MC Africa as he insists on being referred to is one of the most resilient souls I have ever been around. The death of the super group Camp Mulla should have sounded his death knell but he refused to be defined by past successes. I do not think you understand, this is a guy who was part of one of Kenya's most popular groups of all times before some mademoni decided to possess them and they called it a day.

It is always hard for people to bounce back from such a fall from grace. And feel free to take it how you want but at the end of the day, the truth is that just like Icarus, they flew close to the sun... Perhaps too close.

But rather than sit around and regale his grandsons and daughters in stories of the glories of yore, he chose to reinvent himself. And he reformed yet another group methinks is one to watch for future success called "Cosmic Homies" that you definitely have to watch in concert.

The group features his girlfriend and Miss Karun.

This is him at a recent gig:

That's right, he is now a DJ aswell! Talk about adding another feather to his cap. Keep it Mpasho for more.
