Days after comedian David Kangogo a.k.a David The Student was in a nasty altercation with a racist Lyft passenger, he has fallen sick.

David made international news after his gig as a taxi driver saw him get into a proteacted war of words with a racist passenger who hailed his cab.

David asked the man to wear his mask when he is taking the rìde in the cab.

"Hey, sir. Could you kindly put on your mask?. ‘Hey, sir. Put on your mask, please, for my safety and the passengers I’m going to pick up after this," he said.

This led to the man verblly assaulting him and calling him the n-word.

He later appologised.

"I humbly apologize for my behavior towards David K. the Lyft driver on Tuesday night. I should have never said the things I said nor acted like a complete idiot. He didn’t deserve that. Nobody does. I had too much to drink and lost control of my tongue and I said horrible things that I truly regret."

Days later, David has announced he is positive for COVID-19.

He explained,

"I STARTED FEELING SICK ON FRIDAY NOV 20th, ON SATURDAY NOV 21st I WENT IN FOR A COVID TEST AND ON SUNDAY IT GOT A LOT WORSE. I GOT MY RESULTS BACK ON MONDAY EVENING AND AS I FEARED I HAD CONTRACTED COVID 19.

I WILL START MY 14 DAYS QUARANTINE NOW.
