The Kenyan matatu industry is just unique. Most of the matatus portray the hip-hop and African culture very well as many vehicles are named after or associated with great African leaders such as the late Nelson Mandela, Tom Mboya, Julius Nyerere, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta etc.

Most of these matatus also promote the English Premier League among other top leagues with many of them bearing photos of famous footballers and their coaches. From Arsene Wenger to Wayne Rooney to Neymar, the Kenyan matatu culture has proved to be the best.

But, even as most of the matatus glorify the top football leagues in the world, there is a section of matatus which have come out to also support Kenya's very own local talent. Mwamba Sacco and Serian Sacco are among the Sacco's who appreciate local talent. Both sacco's have at least a matatu named AFC Leopards; one of the biggest football clubs in Kenya. This move has seen many Kenyans praise the two Saccos, making us hope that others will join the "bandwagon" and promote our local sports.
