Comedian Daniel Ndambuki, popularly known as Churchill, has warmed many hearts thanks to his kind gesture to the family of the late AKA.
Emmanuel Makori, who was popularly known as AKA or Ayeiya, died on Friday, April 14 after the car that they were travelling in hit an electricity post along Magadi Road.
The witty comic was in the company of his colleague Paul Wakimani Ogutu, Maina Olwenya, Makori’s wife, who all survived the crash that occurred in the wee hours.
Ahead of the Ayeiya’s funeral today in Nyansiongo, Nyamira County, Churchill gathered fans and well-known comics at the Carnivore Grounds to pay tribute to the former.
The show dubbed “Ayeiya Tribute Show” saw a number of comedians who had worked with him before take to the stage
However, the highlight of the night was when Chipukeezy went on stage clad in attires that looked like AKA’s. He even had a briefcase and wore sunglasses, just like Ayeiya.
Reports indicate that the proceeds of the show will be handed to the departed comedian’s family later today.
